Privacy Policy

Effective Date: June 23, 2026

Tippen Law Firm, PLLC (“Tippen Law Firm,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information obtained through the website located at https://TippenLaw.com (the “Site”), along with our related communications, including emails, newsletters, social media pages, online forms, and text messaging programs (together with the Site, the “Services”).

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By accessing or using the Site or the Services, or by otherwise communicating with us online or offline, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the terms of this Privacy Policy.

No Attorney-Client Relationship

The Site is provided for general informational purposes only and is not intended to be, and does not constitute, legal advice or a solicitation for legal services. Use of the Site does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and Tippen Law Firm. An attorney-client relationship is formed only through a separate, signed engagement agreement with the firm.

Please do not send us confidential or time-sensitive information through the Site, by email, or by text message until an attorney-client relationship has been established in writing. Information transmitted to us before we agree to represent you may not be treated as confidential or privileged and will not, by itself, prevent us from representing another party in the same matter.

Confidentiality of Client Information

As Florida-licensed attorneys, we are bound by the confidentiality obligations set forth in the Rules of Professional Conduct of the Rules Regulating The Florida Bar, in addition to the protections afforded by the attorney-client privilege. We do not disclose nonpublic personal information about current or former clients except as authorized by the client, as necessary to provide legal services, or as required or permitted by law. To protect this information, we maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards consistent with our professional obligations.

Information We Collect

We collect two general categories of information through the Services:

  • Personally Identifiable Information (“PII”). Information that identifies you as an individual, such as your name, mailing address, email address, telephone number, and any details you choose to share with us regarding your legal needs.
  • Non-Personally Identifiable Information (“Non-PII”). Information that does not identify you directly, such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, the pages you view, and the dates and times of your visits.

PII and Non-PII are referred to collectively in this Policy as “Information.”

How We Collect Your Information

  • Information you provide voluntarily. We collect Information you submit directly to us, such as when you complete a contact or intake form, request a consultation, subscribe to updates, send us an email, call our office, or provide your telephone number to receive text messages. We collect only the Information reasonably necessary to respond to your request and provide the Services.
  • Information we collect automatically. When you use the Site, our servers may automatically record certain technical Information, including your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring website, the pages you visit, and similar usage data.
  • Cookies and Google Analytics. The Site uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, to help us understand how visitors find and use the Site. Google Analytics uses cookies — small data files stored on your device — to collect standard internet log information and aggregated visitor-behavior information, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you view, and the dates and times of your visits. This information is processed in a manner that does not identify you individually, and we use it only to evaluate and improve the Site. We do not use Google Analytics for advertising or to combine this data with your personally identifiable Information. You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on (available at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout) or by refusing or deleting cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies will not affect your ability to use the Site. Google’s use of information collected through Google Analytics is governed by Google’s privacy policy.
  • Social media and third-party platforms. If you interact with us through a social media platform such as Facebook, LinkedIn, or X (formerly Twitter), we may receive Information about you from that platform consistent with your settings on it.

How and Why We Use Your Information

We use the Information we collect for purposes that include:

  • Responding to your inquiries and providing the materials or information you request;
  • Establishing and managing our relationship with you and providing legal services;
  • Sending administrative messages, updates, newsletters, and other communications that may interest you;
  • Operating, maintaining, improving, and securing the Site and Services;
  • Sending text messages in connection with the programs described below, where you have consented; and
  • Complying with applicable law and meeting our legal, regulatory, and professional obligations.

You may opt out of marketing communications at any time using the instructions provided in those communications or by contacting us directly.

SMS / Text Messaging Program (ClientLink SMS)

Tippen Law Firm offers a text messaging service called ClientLink SMS that allows clients to receive convenient, transactional updates regarding their estate planning, probate, trust, or related legal matters. This section describes how that program works and applies to all mobile telephone numbers you provide to us for messaging purposes. For complete details, please see our Text Messaging / SMS Communications Policy.

  • You are enrolled in ClientLink SMS only after you voluntarily provide your mobile telephone number and give your express consent to receive text messages — for example, by signing our written SMS consent form or by submitting your number through a web form or intake form that includes a text-messaging disclosure. Your consent to receive these text messages is not a condition of receiving legal services from the Firm.
  • Types of messages. ClientLink SMS messages are transactional and are limited to communications about your matter, including: appointment reminders and scheduling confirmations; status updates on your estate planning, probate, or trust matter; requests for additional information or documents; payment reminders for services already rendered; and important deadline, filing, or review alerts.
  • Message frequency. Message frequency varies, but you should generally expect approximately 1–4 messages per month.
  • Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Tippen Law Firm is not responsible for charges imposed by your carrier.
  • Opt-out. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. After you send STOP, we will send a single confirmation message and will not send you additional text messages unless you opt in again. You may also opt out by contacting the Firm at (941) 888-4260, (239) 214-6060, or info@tippenlaw.com.
  • For assistance, reply HELP to any message, or contact us at (941) 888-4260, (239) 214-6060, or info@tippenlaw.com.
  • Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All other categories of information described in this Privacy Policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your Information. We may share Information only as described in this Privacy Policy, including:

  • Service providers. With trusted vendors who perform services on our behalf, such as website hosting, email delivery, or practice management, and who are obligated to protect your Information.
  • Legal requirements. When required to comply with a subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or to cooperate with government or law enforcement authorities.
  • Protection of rights. When we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our legal rights, enforce our policies, prevent fraud or unlawful activity, or protect the security and integrity of the Site and Services.

As stated above, mobile telephone numbers and text-messaging consent data are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

We do not control, and are not responsible for, the privacy practices or content of any third-party website. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any website you visit before providing your Information.

Your Right to Opt Out of Contact

Please note that even after you opt out of marketing messages, we may still send you non-promotional communications related to services you have requested or to an existing matter.
